Teaser Never Judge by the Looks by addicted-to-romione-bedward

“Say—” I light my smoke, catching Emmett's eye. “—who’s the bridesmaid?”
He spits the champagne a foot in front of him, his wide eyes turning in the direction of said chick. “You don’t want to know.”
“Aw, man! Does your wife have any single friends? Seriously!”
“He’s…” Em clears his throat. “She’s not…”
“She’s single?” I ask hopefully.
She’s so coming home with me tonight.
“That’s Rosie’s sibling,” he mumbles.
“Sweeet!” I grin, dragging from my smoke. “Did she keep her locked away? I never met her.” I blow a small cloud to the top of the tent.
“Studied aboard…” Emmett mumbles lamely.
Just then the woman of the hour appears next to us.
“I was wondering where you disappeared,” Rosalie chides my friend. Always bossy.
“Came to greet Ed, here.” Emmett claps my back.
“Well, could you stay with Jas, too? All alone over there…you know how I feel.” She gives her sibling a long look.
Jas. That’s a nice name.
Jasmine maybe?
Sweet.
“I can keep her company,” I offer, throwing in my best smile. Rose looks furiously at me and I raise my hands in surrender. “She’s all alone as you said. I promise to be good.”
Emmett takes her hand. “He doesn’t know.”
“Oh.” Her face softens. “Oh, well. Go ahead. Mark my words, if you hurt Jas in any way I will kill you.”
I stab my cigarette on the edge of a plate and scurry away before she can kill me for that, too.
On the way to Jas I run my hands through my hair, keeping my eyes on her—fine ass, long legs, wavy blonde hair—it’s like every man’s wet dream. Fuck, I hope I make an impression and we can find a bathroom quickly. She can’t say no to me.
“Hello, Jas,” I say, keeping my voice low and smooth. Chicks go crazy for that.
She jumps as if burnt and turns to me, looking shocked.
Well that makes two of us.

Teaser Standing Outside The Fire by Speklez

As the night continued on, my eyes stayed glued to the little human. I had to laugh a few different times over the evening. You could tell she wasn’t comfortable in here, that this was out of her realm of normal. Her confidence was nearly non-existent and I actually found myself annoyed by that. She was pretty fucking hot, as far as humans went, and still young. There was no reason I could come up with why she would be acting as if going dancing with her friends was going to end the world. Even when she was on the dance floor, she was standoffish, staying just slightly back away from them and not really doing much.
Another hour passed, and since I had been drinking, I thought a little help for her poor self-esteem was in order. Not wanting to let the cat out of the bag to the annoyance that was Jasper’s little midget just yet, I asked the bartender for a pen. The less actual interaction there was during the time they were away, the more likely it was that I could impart simple truths and get Bella to see things from a slightly different perspective.
Living on the outside looking in was no way to live.
I understood she spent most of her time with vampires and couldn’t play in the reindeer games for her own safety, but this was past the point of pathetic. She was currently with humans and was acting the same way. However, I also knew she was rejected by my kind, the word ‘tolerated’ comes to mind over ‘accepted’, and she lived with a fear of it happening among her own kind.
It was sad, really, the lengths one had gone to see she never strayed far. I was curious as to who the little lady was before him, and come hell or high water, I was going to find out.
Writing a short note on a napkin, I closed my tab and finished my beer as I waited for the perfect opportunity to strike. I didn’t have to wait long before she separated herself from her friends and headed to the bar for something to drink. Killing my beer, I got up and moved through the crowd of humans and stopped behind her.
Caging her with my arms on either side of her, I dipped my head and whispered in her ear. “A beating heart doesn’t mean you’re alive. You’re more of a corpse than I am.” Forcing the napkin under her hand, I continued. “You don’t need to be killed, you’re already dead. Think about that as you continue to let your life wither before your eyes.”
Her brown doe eyes locked on my red ones, confusion flooding the orbs as her fingers tightened on the note. “What’s this?”
I ran my nose along the shell of her ear, dropping my voice even more to force her to listen. “A choice.”

Summary:
William, a soldier from the Volturi, is assigned a pointless quest together with Alton, they both need to confirm the extinction of the Children of the Moon, turns out destiny has a sour sense of humor; an unexpected twist to what he once thought was lost and comfort for what lays ahead for him in the future.

Teaser:
Siberia, 1860
This past three years we have covered a great extension of land, not as fast as I would wish, considering that most of the month we stay within the city walls, keeping a low profile, looking out for any probable rumor, story or even town gossip that we can, just to make sure where to focus during the full moon. Well, at least I have; Alton, on the other hand, spends those days capturing and torturing young maidens until he finally drains the life out of them, creating a new set of gossip for the town.
When the full moon hits the sky, that is when the running starts. We move quickly through mountains, deserts, no forest is too deep, no cavern to dark, any kind of sign is enough for us to make sure the area has no rock left unturned. I don´t know what a Child of the moon looks or even smells like— I´ve only heard the description from the Master and Alton which should be enough.
Alton has seen them. He accompanies Jane and Alec on one of the missions; he is happy to tell me the story over and over, with no editing, regarding how they ripped apart the creatures, killing every single one of them they were able to find. Alec was in charge of incapacitating the creatures and controlling them until the sun was up in the sky. Jane was in charge of torturing them, getting the truth of the location of others, while they were in their human form. Alton and a small group of guards was responsible for locating, tearing them apart and killing them, then burning their remains to the ground.
One by one they were falling. With the information that Jane was able to get from them, their expedition was not as long; no need to wait for the full moon, they knew where to find them. To make sure, they would kill anybody close to them, fathers, mothers, kids— even neighbors; so many innocent died, just to make sure the virus wouldn´t spread. According to Alton, they have become extinct.
Every now and then, another expedition would take place; so far, no new Children of the Moon have come up. So now, it is our turn; it seems we are half way to ending this shit.
“Time to move east” Alton folds the map and not too kindly shoves it towards me. I put it back inside one of the pockets of my cloak. I can tell that his good mood is dimming; he enjoys the time we stay in the towns, but looking around for what he now refers to as a “myth” is something that he finds utterly boring. Orders are orders and he has every intention of regaining Aro´s approval and keeping Caius esteem high.
“Let´s see if you can keep up with me” he says and turns to see my reaction. I keep my face serious pretending I didn´t hear him. Sure asshole, keep thinking that, but one day I´ll prove you wrong!
I am usually very calm, keeping a cool head during  these kinds of explorations, but somehow tonight has been different. I feel my nerves creeping up, the further we  go into the forest, the jumpier I become -.
Alton hasn´t missed this; he has given me some warning looks every now and then, making it clear that I need to stay focused, but I can´t. I feel that I am being followed, yet every time I turn around, there is nothing. The wind that comes straight from the east caresses our faces without bringing any strange aroma, but then again, if somebody is following us, the wind would be carrying our scents to the pursuers.
“Alton” I say trying to keep my voice as low as I can, I know he hears but he ignores me “We should go back, I have a hunch…”
“Soldier keep up, we´ve already covered that area, there’s no point  in turning back” I know that I annoyed him; he likes to use his rank  to  make it clear who the boss is.
I hear a howl  very far away, coming from the north; my eyes, being on Alton, don´t miss the small flinch that he tries to suppress. We´ve heard wolves howling in the past, this one is different, and Alton knows it based on his reaction.
“Alton” I try to get his attention, but he keeps on moving, as if nothing happened.
Another howl coming from the south  finally makes him come to a complete stop. I am able to read his movements and avoid crashing  into him. He turns towards me, his mouth shaped into a terrifying grin. I´ve seen it all before. He chooses his newest victim, a dark plan forming  in the back of his  mind, the sheer excitement of knowing that he will  bring suffering to another creature and make their life a living hell for as long as they can keep up.
A third howl coming from the west makes me realize there is only one direction for us to keep on running. I start running but Alton stays puts.
“SOLDIER, STOP!!! Let them come” he screams at the top of his lungs, a disgusting pleasure in his voice “We can take them down.” If the creatures were not certain where we were, he just gave them a clear  idea of our current location.
“They are in their wolf form” I remember the small  piece of information that Alton taught me. A Child of the Moon in its wolf form is faster and stronger than most of the average vampires—  having the advantage of a stronger jaw, they can easily pull us apart. Rumor has it Master Caius was almost killed by one and  right now there are three headed our way.
“But they are dumber.” He says, the excitement  in his voice growing.
What the hell? I know who is the dumbest of us all and it is not a Child of the Moon.
“It will be easier to track them during the daytime when they can´t phase” I say while I start hearing a low growling getting closer.
“No, they might hide. Our orders are clear Soldier; it’s time to fight!” he puts his hands together and starts cracking his knuckles. He turns, his back now against mine, waiting for the enemy to come.
I start rethinking my choices and conclude that it would have been better to stay back with the sexy, controlling vampire than with the sadistic, crazy, ugly one. However, I didn´t have a choice about that decision—right now I do. I could leave him alone and let them kill Alton, making the world a better place. When daylight comes, I would track them and ´avenge´ his murder, therefore complying with the masters’ orders. But we are a team, and as such, it is better for us to work together.
I turn around tempted by the choice that my mind just thought of, just to realize that Alton is no longer next to me, his footprints clearly marked down in the snow towards East.
SON OF A BITCH!!! He just left me here  with the werewolves to keep them entertained.

The growls are getting nearer from  all three directions. Time to show Alton that I am not as slow as he thinks I am.

Teaser:

Siberia, 1860

Summary:

Bella knows her destiny has always been to become a vampire, joined with Edward for eternity. Edward, cherishing his mate’s humanity, has long fought against the inevitable. Reunited, they are learning to become a stronger couple. Will they learn to overcome the dark thoughts and doubts that plague them? Eclipse chapter one rewritten.

Teaser

Over the past few weeks, I’ve assisted Bella in applying to several colleges and had a few more for her to try as well, but I’d sensed she wasn’t really interested in attending college right now, and not just because she believed she would be changed and unable to attend. My grip on the papers tightened infinitesimally. A part of me—growing larger by the day—wanted her changed, but not now.
Miraculously, her arguments against me—namely about the existence of souls in vampires—had been gaining weight in my mind. I took a moment to reflect on Bella’s most recent argument on the subject.
“Edward,” Bella asked, looking directly into my eyes, “we need to talk about my change.”
I began to speak but she held up her hand, halting my words.
“Specifically,” she continued, “regarding your belief about your soul, and by extension my soul and the souls of our family. That is your biggest argument against changing me, isn’t it?”
I grimaced, nodding.
“Right. In my opinion, there are several holes in your argument. I’ve put a lot of thought into this and I’d appreciate it if you’d let me speak without interrupting.
“First, there’s the argument that you can love; you care about humans as well as each other. If you were soulless, wouldn’t you be focused solely on blood and killing rather than fighting your instincts because you don’t want to be a monster?
“Second, while I haven’t heard about your change in detail, Emmett told me about his. I found it telling that he never lost consciousness during the transformation process. While it’s terrible never to have had even the most brief reprieve from the pain of transformation, never losing consciousness indicates he (and I assume the rest of you as well) never actually died, so your souls couldn’t have left your bodies.
“I know that your heart stopped and you don’t require oxygen to survive, but your brain never ceased functioning. By my view, you didn’t actually die, you merely metamorphosed into a different life form that has different vital signs and physical requirements for survival.
“Third is the theological argument. Now I don’t know a lot about God and the Bible, but I think I know enough and it’s pretty simple to me. Do you believe in God or not?
“If you believe in God, then you must believe that He is the Creator. If He’s the Creator, that means He created everything in the universe, including vampires. If He created vampires, then He chose to create them from humans.
“Most vampires are changed—including you—without their knowledge or consent. Isn’t damnation or salvation all about free will and the choices you make in life, so how could becoming a vampire alone result in damnation? How could you be damned unless you make choices against His commandments?
“I know you’re going to try and argue that you chose to hunt humans and that would damn you if nothing else did. I say bullshit! Wasn’t the whole point of the New Testament about the forgiveness of sins for those who repent and change their ways? If you haven’t repented your sins and changed your ways, I don’t know anyone who has.
“Now, on the flip side, what about if you don’t believe in God? That makes it even easier. If you don’t believe in God, no one has souls, or if they do exist they can can’t be either damned or blessed, and there’s no such thing as Heaven or Hell. Therefore, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
“So, which is it? Do you believe in God or not? If you believe in God, explain to me exactly how you and our family can be damned!”
I was rendered speechless by my beautiful fierce Bella. I’d heard variations of what she’d said before from Carlisle, but her arguments somehow seemed different than his—more meaningful. She smiled smugly at me, taking in my expression. She reclined back in her bed and snuggled up to me. The subject was closed for now.
I conceded that I could be—probably am—wrong in everything I’ve long believed. In all our choices so far in our relationship, Bella has almost always been right and I’ve almost always been wrong. Why not about this, too?
Regardless, changing her too soon would be just asking for trouble. She needs time to heal mentally and emotionally from the damage I caused by leaving her. She needs to work on improving her self-esteem and confidence, and it needs to be done while she’s still human. If these things remain unresolved when she’s changed, she’ll be frozen with those negative feelings and doubts, and it will be much more difficult for her to overcome them.
Now, I just needed to convince her.

Rosalie and Emmett opened up an auto body shop so they can help the humans get their car fixed without a large price. They have 2 adopted kids but their really adults. A few years back Carlisle was working his shift at the hospital the paramedics brought them into the ER. They were in the car with their parents when the car got smashed. Their parents died instantly and the 2 kids were dying. Later that night while Carlisle was looking over them Alice showed up to let Carlisle know the vision she had. She had a vision of those two as vampires. Carlisle decided that night to turn them and for them to stay in the Cullen family and live as Rosalie and Emmett's children but before they can start their lives they had to learn what they were and the rules of the life that they now will be living. But the Cullens also had to deal with the wolf pack when they found out about the 2 teenagers. The Cullens had assured them that nothing would happen to the humans that they would make sure nothing happened.

When Rosalie found out that they were going to be parents to 2 teens excited wasn't exactly the word for how she felt. She'd always wanted to be a mother and when Bella had Nessie Rose was jealous that Bella gets to experience what she couldn't, her life was cut short. Don't get her wrong she loves little Nessie as her own. She would protect her all the days of her life, but she just wanted to have her own child.

She is now happy because she is getting her wish of becoming a mother and experiencing something she thought was never possible. Emmett was happy that his Rosie is finally truly happy. Yes The Volturi did come after them again but they, with many of their old friends and new ones they acquired, defeated the Volturi. They came to investigate the rumors they were hearing of the Cullens creating 2 new vampires. Of course, when they arrived they found the rumors to be true. This angered the great Aro. He wanted the children to perish but there were too many there too defend the Cullens. Not only were there wolves but the Cullens had many of friends in the vampire world there ready for a fight. Aro decided it best they leave. So they left and no one heard from them since.
